This is old new stock, from a shop that shut down in Paris in the 1960s before all its stock was sold. So it’s over 55 years old, but never worn. Jasper is a form of quartz, and is often found near opal and agate deposits. Reproductions of this type of jewellery are made in China today, but not of the same quality as the old French pieces.
