Medieval Enameled Bronze Cross
This is a rare bronze cross from the Medieval era (c1400). It measures 3 x 2cm.
This piece was excavated from a field near York and has been in a private collection for many years. It has remnants of its original enameling, which is no longer shiny but still clear enough to see that it’s green and red.
This is a wearable piece, even after more than 600 years, although naturally this should be done with caution.
