This is a vintage French fretworked brass lamp. Shade not included. It's in working condition, and was last tested in 2012. It's a nice, heavy piece.
 
It has significant age-patination, so it's not one bit shiny, but could easily be returned to new-looking condition if that's your preference. You can see remnants of a cleaning product, probably Brass, back from when it was last cleaned. Goodness knows when that was. It's 42cm tall.
