English Cast Aluminium Coin Bank
This old lion coin bank looks much older than its 86 years – although let’s face it, 86 years old is still pretty impressive. It’s modelled on a classic English Lion design, the origins of which date back to the Medieval era. To empty the bank of its coins you undo the screw in the side of the body, and then put it back together once you’ve finished your plundering. So you don’t need to break it to retrieve your funds. This is a rare piece – I’ve only ever obtained two, and kept one for myself.
