Large, heavy, Chinese Ginger Jar, dating from the late Qing Dynasty.
Qing Dynasty ran from 1644 - 1912.
 
This piece has a deep peach base and features a Phoenix. Phoenixes were traditionally the symbol of the Empress, while Dragons symbolized the Emperor.
 
A solid, heavy piece, 26cm tall.
